- It is simple, good performance - Migrating your BW system to run on HANA is likely to make it run considerably faster.
- However, as HANA and BW evolve over the coming years, it is almost certain that there will be features in future versions of BW which will only be available if it is running on HANA.
- Once again, the initial reason you would want to move your transactional system to HANA is likely to be performance, although in this case the gains are likely to be less significant.
- However, it is hard to believe that SAP’s longer term plans do not involve delivering significant extra benefits to customers who choose to deploy both their ERP systems and BW on HANA.
