One other point I just found in the documentation for this USING command:
- Currently there is no way to set the DB schema in a CDS QName for any read operations.
- The read API can only find an entity for a table that exists only in one schema.
Therefore the synonym is necessary into order to make the foreign tables “visible/accessible” within the local schema reference of the CDS document.
