Thanks for the point. I can use a calculated view in the script mode and write the sql but I want to use the distinct clause as a part of the analytic view that I have designed.This analytic view is based on a star schema and contains some dimension tables and a single fact table.
My requirement is that I need to pick up distinct values for all the attributes of a dimension table and then have a join in the data foundation with the other related dimension tables.
Please let me know if this can be worked out.
