I am still awaiting on my company's IT response to solving this issue, but in the meantime I have a related question.
As stated in the original post I am using HANA with MS-Access via ODBC. Our IT department claims (a) this type of connection to HANA is not supported by SAP-HANA and (b) that somehow our use of this method is what caused the server process crash. Thus they are trying to figure out how to stop us from using HANA in this fashion.
So my question is whether a or b is true? If HANA did not support ODBC then how come I can do it? And since all I am doing is copying a user table from HANA to Access (via MS-Access table transfer) then how can that possibly cause a server crash in HANA?
