great, that you were able to proceed.
Please note that this parameter should only be set in development environments and never be used for production. The root cause for your problem is, that I think a bug in the ODATA layer you're using which causes it to try to connect to HANA through SSL everytime. This is however only reliably possible, if a valid certificate (here: with a correct hostname) was deployed.
In future versions of the sap-xsjs module (>= 1.6.0, included in SPS 12) this will be resolved and SSL will only be used if enabled.
