Luis, for 2) i think the error is just a syntax error. you have to break that statement into 2 pieces. one to declare the column and its default value - then the association as a separate line. for 3) i believe strings are by default nullable types so no need to default as null hope this helps and in regards to SP10 - SP10 is already out.. so if it is not fixed, then hopefully SP11 (end of November)
