I'm wondering why you need Change Recording on your production system. I think you do not wanna change anything on your production directly.
Did you check if the Change Recording is really active on your production system (in Lifecycle Manager Settings area)? In case it is not activated, in the Change Manager view in HANA Studio gives you no options to interact for the specific system. There should be also a message on the view, that the Change Recording is not active.
