yes, it is possible to pass a JSON (or XML) to an XSJS service. One way is already described in post Transferring complex structured data from UI to XSJS - POSTing JSON.
But that would mean, that you have to do all the coding in the XSJS to prepare and write the data.
So why you are not using an OData batch request?
Depending on your amount of data you should also check if there exists other approaches to get your data to the system (e.g. in case of several thousands, tools like data services are maybe a better way). But that just as an additional information, cause I don't know your scenario.
