If I'm not completely off here, then the RANK node has only been introduced with SPS9.
I assume you're using a SPS 9 HANA Studio against the rev. 85 instance - that explains the error message.
Of course it would be nice if HANA Studio wouldn't present features that are not available in the underlying SAP HANA system...
