Iam still not clear.
Once i create a view and activate it, on the first activation it is created in SYS_BIC . That is ok
Now I click on open data preview in the column view of sys_bic of that same view.
Since views are not stored in hard disk, is it that everytime I do a data preview on column view the query to generate view is run and it gets created in sys_bic on every data preview.
However I also tried modifying the view and then immediately clicked on its corresponding column view. The changes were not reflected.
So this is just normal behaviour of any other Database which requires us to update views with any changes made. So why is it said that there is no need to store materialized views and aggregates can be done on the fly.
Please help. I think I am lost on this one :-)
