In newer version (I guess from SP6 onward) you have either "Aggregation" or "Projection" as Output node.
When you create new CalcView, system will ask for "Data Category" if it is Cube then output node is 'Aggregation' else 'Projection'.
Follow your course guide and map fields till top node (Aggregation or Projection), this should work just fine.
