Actually in our view we are indeed using the LIKE predicate. It's still like pouring molasses on a cold winters day.
and IFNULL(a.CUSTOMER, '') Like :IP_CUSTOMER
And of course now that I'm pasting this here I know what you're going to say next. Perhaps it's the null processing? Always nulls are giving us headaches. Ok let me try without null processing.
