Personally I would be reluctant to mix client and appliance components spanning major releases, especially a newer client side, as I dont see any significant benefits outweighing potential backwards compatibility issues.
I am more interested in the added value and potential that features like River, spatial data manipulation and job scheduling bring.
Hoping that Hana AWS SPS7 is available in the very near future.
