Our HANA is on SPS03 Rev25 and we want to go to SPS05. Our SUM version is 03.
HANA studio version is Rev25.
We downloaded the latest SUMFORHANA and placed under the folder where rest of the SPS05 software
is present on the HANA appliance.
We are planning to start HANA studio on our windows machine and the user with which we
start HANA studio has admin rights on the windows machine.
Issue: HANA Studio Life cycle management perspective UI for update is not able to
connect to the update server. Hence, SUM self update didnt happen
Steps:
1) Started SUM (version 3) on HANA appliance using sum.sh under /usr/sap/SID/SUM.
2) Started HANA studio with my ID on windows machine which has admin privileges
3) Connected to HANA DB with my DB ID
4) Opened Life cycle management perspective
5) Provided SIDadm and sapadm passwords
Error: Could not connect to the Update server
Possible resaon: Network error occured or Update server is not running
HTTPS settings:
Selected Manual Active provider
Given HTTPS host as HANA IP address, port as 8443 and ID/pwd as SIDadm credentials.
Questions:
1) Should we upgrade HANA studio to Rev49 before we start the upgrade?
2) Once we start HANA Studio, can we connect with any db user to the HANA DB before we start
Life cycle management perspective?
3) After we started HANA Studio, I connected to HANA DB with my ID and open Life cycle
management perspective. It asked for h01adm and sapadm passwords and I provided them.
It then failed showing the error message as mentioned above.
