Dear all,
I recently tried to upgrade our HANA instance at AWS (developer edition) to rev 68. Unfortunatly the upgrade failed, during the upgrade procedure (while 'Installing binaries...') I got a 'broken pipe' on my console from where I was logged into the server.
After that the HANA server doesn't start anymore, ./HDB start is not coming back.
./HDB version still shows me rev 60.
Does anybody have an advice for me?
I created a snapshot of all 7 AWS volumes two weeks ago (/dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1 to /dev/sdb6), maybe I can revert back to that state. Has anybody done this server restore before from own aws snapshots? What is the procedure?
Basicaly I should be somethink like:
- delete all current volumes
- create new volumes from own snapshots
- attach volumes to instance. How do I know the device (/dev/sdb1 to 6) for each volume?
Thanks in advance, any help is greatly appreciated!
Best regards,
Karsten
P.S.: I did this upgrade several times before from rev 28 to rev 60 and never had any problems....
