Just to add to what Lars has stated above, if the traces do not help, you can query nodes preceding the output( or final) node and work your way down towards the source node until the error disappears. Thus you can isolate the errant node.
If you use CE operators, there are specific guidelines you have to follow, unfortunately some of the errors are not caught until you execute the query. Without knowing the calculation view definition, it would be hard to guess.
